The following is a guide for how our current approach works. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have questions or concerns. We also work in the medical field and treat your home projects as if you were talking about the pain you or a love one is feeling due to an ailment. It’s what makes us unique and easy to communicate with 🙂

Step 1)

Schedule the Consult: This can be done in two way. If you are familiar with the process, please click the button below. If not, we recommend calling in so that we can answer those questions you have. We understand that this business has huge growth potential but at the time of writing this, we are starting small. Please bare with us in the event we do not have a contractor available for the desired project. You’d be surprised though how much we already do have covered though!

Step 2)

Getting On The Books: Our unique approach starts here as we are using the same software used by medical offices like ours. Given that the medical industry has refined itself greatly, this will be an amazing resource both the customer service aspect and overall flow with the project. The system will notify you, should you choose to want it to, a text 1 week before, email 2 days before and text 2 hours before a scheduled appointment. Appointment being the contractor arriving. We understand the construction industry in no way is like how a medical office runs in regards to time management. We are simply using the software for the things it does well and figuring out the rest as new things pop up.

Step 3)

Arrival: By this point, we should have answered most common questions like can you help, how much could it cost and how long will it take. When the contractor arrives, he or she will provide as much information that is possible in the moment after we put eyes on the project or explained in person the vision. We offer the option for you to personally upload pictures to your account with anything relevant that might be needed or in the event that something happens later on that you call in about. This will stay on your file for any of our contractors to see in the same way medical records are visible within our medical. This is also useful in the event 5 years from now something happens and we need to take a look back and information is scattered through multiple phones. In the event you are not present for this part, don’t worry. We understand and can’t expect everyone to be on our time. We will do our best to make the process easy even if the contractor needs a code. All of this can be communicated though in step 2.

Step 4 & 5)

Brainstorming & Deposit: If Step 4 can be thought of a brainstorming, then step 5 will gathering materials list and providing price. Sometimes the repair is really straight forward and very little back and forth is needed when picking out products. All of this again can be done through our Jane system, by email, text or a call. You decide which option works best for your schedule and the way you like to receive information. Someone that’s relies more on the visual will like images while others might be only concerned with what brand is being used. Our Past Project page (HERE) can be a great resource to picking out specific items or communicating ideas for step 3. Once the price and materials are agreed upon, a 50% deposit is required to move into step 6. This can be done a few ways, but it’s up to our individual contractors as we have a working relationship with them and they are not directly employed by us. Don’t worry though, it’s a very connected relationship and we have clear guidelines for them along with standards. We police our own and that relationship works better with input from the client as well.

Step 6)

Work Begins: We are constantly on top of trying to make sure this next step doesn’t fall through the cracks. Once that deposit is made, it’s go time for us. We like to say we know when things will happen but of course there are variables here that are unpredictable. We will likely schedule the project right away unless there are unknows with supplies. This will also function the same way as it does in step 1 with regard to texts and emails. You will have access to know when it’s scheduled, if we have to move it and how long roughly we are planning to be there. This is one of those gaps we feel that other companies could improve upon. There’s no reason that your project shouldn’t be communicated in the same manor a doctor’s office would be. It allows you to plan around the event so that there’s no excessive windows of arrival,  if the work needs to be done around your personal schedule due to working from home or a whole list of other reasons that can occur.

Step 7)

Work Ends: This of course is probably the most important step. We upload photos of the work to your file for you to view should you not be home when it’s complete. We will also do everything needed to ensure that communication about the product is given so that there’s no surprises later on. We understand you might not be the expert on each item that’s chosen, but we’ll provide feedback during step 4 and additional feedback at the end to make sure you know how to maintain everything. This might be a good time to view our products we love page by clicking (HERE) for useful tips. All of us here can tell you personal stories of times when a product advertised one thing and functioned quite differently in a way that probably should have been explained. For example, laminate flooring that said water resistant but the product warps more that you could have ever thought when your dog had an accident, and you didn’t get to it for an hour. “I could write a book about all the should have knowns and it’s only been 8 years as of 2025 that we started doing a lot of construction.” – Dr Smith. We don’t want completed projects to be a feeling that lives in your subconscious in a bad way. That’s why step 7 doesn’t just end with the final payment. Construction might end but the peace of mind will remain knowing that we have your back. Yes, that was a pun because we own Chiropractic offices as well!

If you feel that this process can be refined in any way, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We value your business and the referrals that always happen when a job completed efficiently and goes beyond expectations. Dr. Smith can always be personally reached at Drsmith@smithcw.com in the event that something needs addressing that’s outside the direct communication that’s between the contractor and client. My cell is 610-763-5251. Please feel free to text as this is the preferred way of communication. We hope that you found this page and overall website useful in the same way you would when searching for treatment of an ailment or when deciding what Chiropractic office you’d like to be a patient of.
